Set up Gamma IPTV on a MAG box
MAG boxes work differently from apps: instead of a username and password, the box connects to a portal linked to its MAC address. Gamma IPTV on a MAG box takes about ten minutes once support has your MAC.
What you need
- Your MAG box connected to the internet
- Your Gamma IPTV login details from the dashboard (no account yet? start the free trial)
- One of these player apps: Built-in MAG portal (no app to install)
Step-by-step setup

Find the MAC address
Turn the box over and note the MAC address on the sticker, or open Settings → System settings → Device info on the box. It looks like 00:1A:79:XX:XX:XX.

Send it to support
Send the MAC address and your box model through the contact page, from the email on your Gamma IPTV account. We confirm whether your model is supported and add the portal URL to your dashboard.

Open the portal settings
On the MAG box, press Setup (or Settings) on the remote, then go to System settings → Servers → Portals.

Enter the portal URL
Type a name such as “Gamma IPTV” in Portal 1 name and paste the portal URL from your dashboard into Portal 1 URL. Save, go back and choose Restart portal.

Wait for the channel list
The box restarts and loads the channels and TV guide. The first load can take a couple of minutes on large line-ups.
Tips for a smooth picture
Use the network cable
MAG boxes have an Ethernet port and older models have weak Wi-Fi. A cable is the easiest way to avoid freezing.
Update the firmware
An old firmware can fail to load modern portals. Check Settings → Software update before contacting support.

Why does a MAG box need my MAC address?
MAG boxes sign in with their MAC address instead of a password. The portal only recognises boxes whose MAC has been added to an account.
Does one MAG box count as one device?
Yes. The box counts as one screen, the same as a Firestick or a phone, toward the number of devices in your plan.
The portal shows “STB blocked” or loads forever. What now?
Check that the MAC address you sent matches the sticker exactly, restart the portal, and contact support with a photo of the message on screen.
