IPTV Smarters Pro is the player we suggest to most first-time customers. It runs on phones, tablets, Firesticks and many Smart TVs, and the login is a single screen. This guide walks through a Gamma IPTV Smarters setup on each type of device, explains every field on the login screen, and covers the settings people ask us about most: multi-screen, catch-up and the parental lock. At the end you will find fixes for the two errors that fill our inbox.
Where to get the app
Phones and tablets
On Android, install IPTV Smarters Pro from Google Play. On iPhone and iPad, the App Store version is usually listed as Smarters Player Lite. Both use the same login screen. Our mobile setup guide covers casting to a TV from your phone.
Firestick
Smarters is installed through the Downloader app on Fire TV, using the link on your dashboard. Follow the Firestick setup guide up to the point where the app opens, then continue below.
Smart TVs
Some Samsung and LG models list a Smarters app in their own store, but availability depends on the model year and region. If you cannot find it, IBO Player is the usual alternative, as described in the Smart TV guide.
Gamma IPTV Smarters login: Xtream Codes vs M3U
When Smarters opens for the first time, it asks how you want to sign in. You will see a few options. Two of them matter.
Login with Xtream Codes API (recommended)
This is the one to use. It loads live TV, movies, series and the TV guide together.
- Select Login with Xtream Codes API.
- Any Name: type anything you like, such as Gamma Home. It is only a label.
- Username: copy it from your dashboard. Case matters.
- Password: same again. Watch for capital letters and zeros vs the letter O.
- URL: the server URL from your dashboard, starting with
http://and ending with the port number if one is shown, for example:8080. No spaces, no slash at the end. - Select Add User. Smarters downloads the channel list, movies and guide, which can take a minute.
Load your playlist or file/URL (M3U)
This option takes the M3U link from your dashboard instead. You give the playlist a name, choose M3U URL and paste the full link. It works, but the guide often needs extra setup and movies may appear as a flat list. Use it as a backup if the Xtream screen will not connect. For a Gamma IPTV Smarters login, Xtream Codes is the better choice in almost every case.
Settings worth knowing about
After login you land on the home dashboard with tiles for Live TV, Movies, Series and a few extras. The settings icon is in the top-right corner.
Multi-screen
The Multi-Screen tile lets you watch several live channels side by side on one display. It is handy on a big TV during a busy evening of games. Keep in mind that each window is a separate stream. Two windows use two of your plan’s connections, so on a 1-device plan the second window will not start. Your Gamma IPTV dashboard shows how many devices your plan includes.
Catch-up
The Catch Up tile shows recent programs for channels that offer an archive. Not every channel has one. When it is available, you pick the channel, then the day, then the program. If a channel is missing from the catch-up list, it simply does not support it.
Parental lock
Go to Settings → Parental Control. The first time, you create a password. You can then pick categories under Live TV, Movies and Series to lock. Locked categories ask for the password before they open. Our guide to Gamma IPTV parental controls explains how to combine this with the lock on the TV itself.
Player settings
Under Settings → Player Selection and Settings → Buffer size you can switch the internal player or raise the buffer. If live channels stutter on Wi-Fi, a larger buffer helps before you try anything else.
Fixing “Invalid username or password”
This is the most common Gamma IPTV Smarters message we see, and the account is rarely the problem. Go through these in order:
- Retype the username and password from your dashboard instead of from memory or an old email. Trial and paid logins are different.
- Check the URL. A missing
http://, a missing port, or an extra/at the end all cause this error. - Look for a trailing space. Some phone keyboards add one after a word.
- Confirm on your dashboard that the account or trial is still active.
- Try the same details in the Gamma IPTV web player. If they work there, the issue is in what was typed into Smarters.
Fixing “No data found”
This message means the login worked but a list came back empty. Usually it is one of these:
- The first load was interrupted. On the home screen, use the reload or refresh option, or log out and back in.
- A filter is hiding everything. If you locked or hid categories, check the parental control settings.
- The device date and time are wrong. Smarters relies on the clock for the guide. Set it to automatic in the device settings.
- Old cache. On Android or Fire TV, clear the app cache in the device settings, not the data, then reopen the app.
If Smarters still will not sign in
Uninstall and reinstall the app as a last step, then log in once more with fresh details. If it still fails, email our support team with your device, the exact error and a photo of the login screen with the password hidden. That is usually enough for us to spot the problem in one reply. Most Gamma IPTV Smarters problems are solved within one or two emails.
For other devices, see which app to use with Gamma IPTV. Quick fixes for other problems are collected in the Gamma IPTV help center.
Frequently asked questions
Is IPTV Smarters Pro made by Gamma IPTV?
No. Smarters is a third-party player. Gamma IPTV supplies the channels and your login, and the app is one of several players that can use it.
Can I sign in to Smarters on my phone and my TV with the same login?
Yes. You can save the login on as many devices as you like. Only the number of streams playing at the same moment is limited by your plan.
Why do movies work but live TV does not?
This usually means a single stream or category is down, or the live list did not finish loading. Use the reload option on the home screen and try another live channel before contacting support.
